As a key member of our educational team, you will develop engaging curricula, implement innovative teaching strategies, and create a supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and academic growth. Your expertise will help shape well-rounded, informed citizens prepared for the challenges of tomorrow. Responsibilities Design and deliver comprehensive science lessons aligned with curriculum standards Develop innovative instructional materials utilizing learning technology and instructional design principles to enhance student engagement. Incorporate research-based teaching methods such as project-based learning, inquiry-based activities, and differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation and ongoing formative assessments. Provide mentorship and academic advising to students, supporting their social-emotional development and fostering a positive classroom climate. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and school-wide initiatives to promote literacy education and critical thinking skills. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral management while adhering to educational administration standards. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, Biology, Physics, or a related science field; Master's degree preferred. Valid teaching certification for middle grades or equivalent credentials. Proven classroom experience with middle school students in science or related subjects. Knowledgeable of the Florida Standards for science Experience with learning technology tools such as educational software, digital resources, and library services integration. Familiarity with classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and special education accommodations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively and collaborate with colleagues. Demonstrated organizational skills for lesson planning, instructional design, research activities, and standardized testing preparation.
