Aug 17, 2026 Job Description West Fork CSD is seeking a dynamic and student-focused Secondary Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world application of science concepts while building strong relationships with students. Responsibilities Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in secondary science (courses may include Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, or other assigned areas) Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including inquiry-based and hands-on learning Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs Integrate technology to enhance student learning Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with students, families, and staff Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and school improvement Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment Participate in school and district initiatives Qualifications Valid Iowa Teaching License with appropriate Science endorsement (or ability to obtain) Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff Preferred Qualifications Endorsements in multiple science areas Experience with STEM, project-based learning, or career-connected education
