This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific literacy among high school freshmen. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for teaching science, expertise in curriculum development, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment that accommodates diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate scientific principles such as chemistry, physics, biology, and earth sciences, tailored to 9th-grade students' learning needs. Integrate educational technology and IT tools into lessons to enhance understanding of complex concepts like calculus, organic chemistry, genetics, and molecular biology. Design assessments aligned with standardized testing requirements to evaluate student progress effectively. Manage classroom behavior through effective classroom management strategies while fostering a positive and inclusive environment that respects diverse cultural backgrounds. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and participation in accordance with educational compliance regulations. Requirements Bachelor's degree; preferred degree in Science Education or a related field. Proven experience teaching high school science courses with a focus on physical science at the 9th-grade level. Demonstrated ability to develop curricula that incorporate research-based instructional strategies tailored to various learning styles. Proficiency with educational technology tools such as digital labs, virtual simulations, learning management systems (LMS), and classroom IT integration. Excellent communication skills for effective classroom instruction and collaboration with colleagues and parents. Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and adapting teaching methods accordingly. Knowledge of educational standards related to science education and experience implementing curriculum standards effectively.
