Structural Fitter/Welder Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Structural Fitter/Welder in a manufacturing facility, where you will be responsible for reading blueprints and setting up beams and columns. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications. Set up and fit beams and columns according to blueprint requirements. Perform MIG welding tasks with precision and accuracy. Conduct cutting and grinding activities on structural steel. Essential Skills Proficiency in reading blueprints, including understanding hidden versus solid lines. Experience in MIG welding and structural fitting. Skilled in cutting and grinding structural steel. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment Work in a manufacturing facility dedicated to building water intake screens. The shop is non-temperature regulated. The current schedule is Monday to Thursday, 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with plans to add a second shift from Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 11 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Slaughter, LA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
