A Science Teacher teaches in the natural science fields for elementary to secondary school students. Most science courses taught prior to high school are general, with specialization occurring later in high school. Teachers may teach specialized courses in physics, biology or chemistry. Other topics taught include physical science, computer science, astronomy, and geology.

About this Position The Department of Chemistry and Physical Sciences is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach lower-division courses, including Introductory Chemistry, General Chemistry I & II laboratory/lecture support (as needed), Physics, and Physical Science for non-majors. Candidates with a Master's degree will be considered for lower-division teaching assignments. Prepare and deliver course materials, including lectures, assignments, assessments, and laboratory activities (where applicable). Maintain consistent communication with students and provide timely feedback on assignments and exams. Hold office hours (virtual or in-person) for student support. Follow departmental and university guidelines regarding instruction, assessment, and academic policies. Collaborate with full-time faculty as needed to ensure instructional consistency across sections. Required Qualifications Master's Master's degree in chemistry, Chemistry Education, Physics, Physical Science, or a closely related field.
