SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management at Schreiner University seeks qualified individuals to serve as Adjunct Instructors for undergraduate classes including, but not limited to: Sport Practicum Introduction to Exercise Science Introduction to Sport Management Fitness and Wellness Exercise Physiology Laboratory Exercise Testing and Prescription Laboratory Readings in Exercise Science and Sport Management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, and

EXPERIENCE

) Master's degree in the respective or related area Minimum of 18 graduate of hours in the discipline Professional license/certificate in the respective area when applicable Possess excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills Ability to use technology in teaching Use and maintenance of Exercise Science laboratory equipment Ability to use collaborative learning techniques and student-centered methods of instruction Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend assignments Daytime availability a plus (in some cases, may be required) In addition to the online application, applicants should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, unofficial transcripts, teaching philosophy, the names, addresses and telephone numbers of three references, and other support materials such as teaching evaluations.
