At Knowles Karate Academy we teach Tang Soo Do Mood Duo Kwan . The perfect candidate would possess a black belt in Tang Soo Do, Soo Bahk Do or a very similar style of Martial Art and have experience with working with Neurodivergent and Neurotypical students. Bring your enthusiasm for teaching, and working with students of all ages to help cultivate confidence, discipline, fitness and peace and harmony in our community! Qualifications Posses a black belt in Tang Soo Do, Soo Bahk Do or a very similar style of Martial Art. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, teens, and adults. Ability to maintain a safe training environment, including knowledge of injury prevention and basic first aid. High level of professionalism, punctuality, and reliability, with strong classroom management and leadership skills. Prior experience as a martial arts instructor. Responsibilities Lead martial arts classes for diverse age groups, ensuring clear instruction and active participation Develop tailored training programs to meet individual student goals and skill levels Demonstrate proper techniques in martial arts disciplines such as karate, taekwondo, or jiu-jitsu Promote safety protocols and ensure all students adhere to proper behavior management practices Provide feedback and encouragement to motivate students and improve their performance Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student development and achievements Requirements Proven experience in martial arts instruction with certification in relevant disciplines preferred Prior experience working with children and managing behavior in a classroom or training environment Knowledge of first aid, CPR, AED operation, and child safety protocols Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and team members Ability to teach physical education concepts clearly and confidently Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide students of varying skill levels Join us to inspire the next generation of martial artists!
