Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Martial Arts Instructor to join our team. This role involves teaching martial arts techniques and principles to students of various ages, primarily within after-school programs. The instructor will foster a positive learning environment, promote discipline, and help students develop physical skills, confidence, and respect through structured lessons and activities. Duties Conduct engaging martial arts classes for students in after-school programs, ensuring all participants are actively involved and motivated. Plan and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans that cover fundamental techniques, forms, sparring, and self-defense skills. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement and confidence. Promote safety protocols during all activities to ensure a secure environment for students. Foster a respectful and disciplined atmosphere that aligns with martial arts values. Maintain equipment, dojo cleanliness, and organization of training areas. Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress and behavior when necessary. Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, respect, and sportsmanship. Qualifications Proven experience in martial arts training or instruction; certification in relevant martial arts disciplines is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to teach and motivate students of diverse backgrounds. Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards teaching children and young learners. Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Knowledge of safety standards related to martial arts training environments. Prior experience working within after-school programs or youth education settings is advantageous. Pay:
$35.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 10.0 per week
