Job Description

Martial Arts Instructor Ko Martial Arts is looking for a high energy person who truly loves helping children grow and improve. What we do is simple. We guide our students to become leaders among themselves and then others. We achieve this through providing a positive and disciplined culture. Our instructors and teachers are the stars of our business. All staff members of Ko Martial Arts are more than just employees, they are part of a supportive, cohesive team that is always there for each other. No martial arts rank is required. We provide full instructor training and ongoing martial arts instruction, so prior teaching or athletic experience is welcome but not necessary. What matters most is character, energy, and a genuine desire to serve children and families. Requirements Passion for teaching children, four years and older Precise and cares about the details High energy and positive Self motivated and self disciplined Coachable and eager to learn a new skill set Comfortable leading a group and speaking in front of parents Authorized to work in the United States Preferred, Not Required Background in martial arts, gymnastics, dance, cheer, coaching, or competitive athletics Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, or working in childcare or education Responsibilities Leading group classes that are taught based on a preset agenda Leading events such as birthday parties, workshops, and related Consistently improving and growing in teaching level and skill Completing our instructor certification and rank progression as part of the role Schedule (Part Time and Full Time Available) 1:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday through Thursday 1:00 to 7:00 pm, Friday (longer hours during special events) 8:45 am to 11:00 am, Saturday (longer hours available for special events) Closed on Sundays Benefits Martial arts training and instruction Health insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Professional development assistance Relocation assistance Pay and Opportunities Starting pay based on experience and abilities Performance bonuses available after minimum time requirement met Moving expenses reimbursement A clear path to instructor certification and advancement for the right person Professional Presentation Professional appearance is required. Nose or lip earrings, excessive ear piercings, visible tattoos that cannot be covered, and bright or unnatural hair colors are not permitted.
Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
