Job Description

Youth Tennis Director Elite Tennis & Wellness is seeking an energetic, organized, and experienced Youth Tennis Director to lead and grow our youth tennis programming. This position is ideal for a tennis professional who is passionate about player development, enjoys working with children and families, and can successfully manage both on-court instruction and the administrative side of a large youth program. The Youth Tennis Director will oversee programs for players ranging from beginners through competitive juniors, including Red Ball, Orange Ball, Green Ball, Yellow Ball, and Pre-Academy programming. Responsibilities Develop, organize, and oversee all youth instructional programs Teach youth classes, private lessons, camps, and special events Create seasonal class schedules based on enrollment and court availability Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise youth tennis professionals Maintain a consistent teaching curriculum and player-development pathway Evaluate players and recommend appropriate class placement Communicate professionally and promptly with parents Monitor enrollment, waitlists, attendance, staffing, and class capacity Help market programs and increase participation and player retention Coordinate youth camps, match-play opportunities, special events, and junior team programming Ensure classes are well organized, appropriately staffed, and taught to Elite's standards Work closely with club leadership and other tennis professionals Maintain a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for every player Qualifications Strong tennis playing and teaching background Previous experience coaching children at multiple ages and ability levels Experience managing a youth tennis program or leading a team of instructors preferred Excellent organizational, scheduling, and communication skills Professional, dependable, and comfortable communicating with parents Ability to motivate young players while maintaining structure and accountability Knowledge of age-appropriate player-development methods and tennis progressions Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends as programming requires USPTA or PTR certification preferred College playing experience preferred but not required Must successfully complete all required background checks The Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading a court full of young beginners, evaluating a developing competitive player, communicating with a parent, and organizing the details required to keep a large program running smoothly.
