Why This Role Exists Very few kids conquer the Warped Wall on their first try. What we teach is the next try. The Ninja Coach's real job isn't obstacles — it's confidence. Through agility, coordination, strength, and balance training, our coaches teach kids to attempt hard things, persist through challenges, and keep working at a skill until they win. A great Ninja Coach sends every athlete home a little braver than they arrived. If you're positive, dependable, and love the moment a kid conquers something they were scared of last week, we want to hear from you. Ninja or agility training experience helps, but we're willing to train the right person — every week has curriculum, so you always have a playbook. What You'll Teach Obstacle-course fundamentals: Warped Wall, Swinging, angled steps, monkey bars, rock wall, and balance control.
Body-control basics:
forward rolls, safe falling and landing, balance, and spatial awareness. Athletic foundations that transfer to every sport: agility, speed, strength, and endurance.
The Pioneer mindset:
effort over outcome, resilience after failure, and celebrating teammates' wins.
Focus and attention:
your energy must match or exceed the class — kids stay engaged when their coach is locked in Responsibilities Lead safe, high-energy classes that follow the weekly curriculum, adjusting lesson plans to each group's age and ability. Build positive relationships with athletes; give motivational, specific feedback that grows confidence. Teach and reinforce safe falling, spotting, and progressions — building skills up or breaking them down as each athlete needs. Maintain a controlled, positive class environment; communicate clearly and calmly with children and parents. Set up, inspect, and break down equipment and obstacle stations before and after classes. Follow all Pioneer safety policies and report any incidents, injuries, or equipment concerns immediately. Collaborate with fellow coaches; be coachable — take feedback, learn spotting techniques, and share what you know. Qualifications Enthusiastic, dependable, positive, and eager to learn. Strong communication skills with children and adults; comfortable leading a group with calm, confident direction. Ability to create, follow, and adapt lesson plans. Ninja, gymnastics, tumbling, agility training, parkour, or related coaching experience preferred but not required — we train the right people.
