Athena Coding One-Day Chess Camp Instructor Athena Coding is hiring a chess instructor for a one-day camp in West Windsor-Plainsboro, NJ. We are looking for a reliable, energetic instructor who enjoys working with school-age students and can lead fun, structured chess lessons and activities.

Date and time:

Monday, September 21, 2026 9:00 AM-4:00 PM Grover Middle School, West Windsor-Plainsboro, NJ This is a one-day assignment. Applicants must be available for the full session.

Responsibilities:

Teach engaging chess lessons and lead practice games and activities Explain chess rules, basic strategies, and good sportsmanship Manage a classroom of students in a safe, positive, and organized way Keep students engaged and on task throughout the camp Communicate professionally with Athena staff and site staff Arrive on time and be dependable for the full camp session

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of chess rules and basic strategy Experience working with children preferred Teaching, camp, tutoring, or coaching experience helpful Comfort leading groups of students Strong communication skills and reliability

Pay:

$30-$40 per hour, depending on experience and chess teaching expertise. Please include your chess experience, experience working with children, and availability for Monday, September 21 when applying.
