Overview Join our dynamic team as a Chess Instructor and ignite a passion for strategic thinking and problem-solving among learners of all ages. In this paid role, you will deliver engaging chess lessons that foster critical skills, boost confidence, and promote a love for the game. Whether working with children, youth, or adults, you will create a positive learning environment that encourages growth, curiosity, and mastery of chess fundamentals. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire students to think strategically, plan ahead, and develop their skills through structured instruction and interactive activities. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive chess curricula tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels Deliver engaging online and in-person lessons that promote active participation and skill development Manage classroom environments effectively to ensure a safe, respectful, and motivating space for learning Create instructional materials that enhance understanding of chess tactics, strategies, and rules Provide personalized tutoring to help students improve their game and achieve their goals Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages questions, discussion, and peer learning Track student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement Qualifications Proven experience working with children, youth programs, or adult learners in educational settings Strong classroom management skills to maintain focus and engagement during lessons Ability to develop instructional materials suited for various learning styles and levels Experience with tutoring or coaching in chess or related strategic games Familiarity with online instruction platforms and digital teaching tools Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex concepts in an accessible manner Background in teaching foreign languages or working within multicultural environments is a plus Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities Prior experience in childcare or classroom experience is highly desirable Join us as a Chess Instructor and be part of a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing minds through the timeless game of chess. Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 per week
