Open Until Filled Employment Opportunity The Orem Recreation Department is currently hiring Tennis Specialists. This is a non-benefited position responsible for providing tennis instruction to beginning and intermediate level of players and/or coaching summer youth tennis leagues. Design lessons/activities that address the skill level of the students. Ensure that students are engaged in the lessons/activities. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Requires a strong knowledge of tennis. Provide instruction for beginning or intermediate level of players and educate students on tennis game strategies . Design lessons/activities for the duration of the session that address the skill level of the students. Ensure that the students are engaged in the lesson/activites. Develop innovative ways to assist students in learning and remembering the rules of the game. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service. Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions. Ability to move and interact with others in various activities that may include bending, stooping, walking and lifting. Ability to resolve problems and conflicts on site. Perform other duties as assigned. A valid driver's license may be required. The successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background investigation. Pay and Benefits $12.00 to $16.83 per hour depending upon qualifications and experience. Schedule Varying shifts available from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Mondays - Thursdays from April through May and August through October. During June to August, the shifts available will vary between 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Application Process Those interested in applying should submit their application online.
