Faculty Job Description The instructional faculty member/Social Work Field Coordinator shall have the primary responsibilities of teaching, research/creative achievement, and service functions (including serving as the Field Coordinator) and shall be held accountable for these obligations as they contribute to the attainment of the mission of the University, the School, the Department, and the Program. Required Qualifications MSW from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accreditied program; at least two years of practice experience in service delivery settings;

• educational preparation in accordance with requirements of the University and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools;
• evidence of potential for effective undergraduate teaching and scholarly activity;
• licensed or license eligible in Tennessee
• potential for operating in the field and servicing interns and externs as needed.

Job Duties promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large; promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students; participate on department, school, and university committees; comply with the university Faculty/Staff Policy Manual in instructional and other requirements; administer, develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the field and internship seminars, placements, and student experiences of the Social Work Program within the guidelines of the Program, the Department, the School, the University, the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW); participate in recruitment, community, and public service opportunities; complete required institutional and program accreditation reports and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the University; and appropriately align course syllabi goals and objectives to academic major program goals and student outcomes for each course taught; develop a current syllabus for each assigned class and distribute a course syllabus to each student submit a current copy of each syllabus to the Social Work department chair by a predetermined deadline evaluate enrolled students and submit grades to the Registrar by a predetermined deadline; participate in the faculty evaluation process and use the results to improve teaching and strengthen the major; attend department, school, convocation, and university faculty meetings perform other duties as assigned.
