Online Adjunct - College Of Education Aspen Group, Inc is an education technology holding company that leverages its infrastructure and expertise to allow its two universities, Aspen University and United States University, to deliver on the vision of making college accessible and affordable. United States University is looking for experienced Online Adjunct Faculty to join the College of Education. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Asynchronous teaching in a virtual environment with a diverse student population Engage students in meaningful asynchronous threaded discussions at least four days per week, evaluating responses and responding to questions or comments Evaluate students' course content comprehension through grading of assignments, quizzes, papers, or presentations Bring your real-life experiences into the classroom through announcements, feedback, discussion responses, and grading Empower students to learn and grow through evidence-based feedback and guidance Set clear expectations and guidelines for each course in accordance with university policies Utilize effective professional communication in providing clear directions, feedback, and promoting student learning Attend virtual faculty meetings when you are able or watch recordings to stay current on policies Be available to students by answering emails within 24 hours Qualifications of faculty and other instructional personnel must include, but are not limited to: a) current knowledge of the content; b) knowledge of the current context of public schooling including the California adopted P-12 content standards, frameworks, and accountability systems; c) knowledge of diversity in society, including diverse abilities, culture, language, ethnicity, and gender orientation; and d) demonstration of effective professional practices in teaching and learning, scholarship, and service.
