A Sociology Professor teaches foundational sociological ideas, truths, and methods to students through a combination of classroom instruction and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. May assist or lead in the creation of the curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field.

Diversity and Health Emphasis Adjunct taught classes are in person. A minimum of a Master's degree in sociology or a related field is required. Teaching experience or other work experience in sociology or a related field is preferred.
