Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference every day by empowering students as a Special Education Teacher. Two exciting contract opportunities are available for professionals passionate about providing support in educational settings. One position focuses on Resource services for K-3rd grade, working with approximately 30 students, while the second offers the chance to guide a Self-Contained classroom of roughly 15 students. Both roles collaborate closely with general education staff, contribute to IEP development, and support diverse learning needs in a positive, inclusive environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state or eligibility to obtain Previous experience supporting students with diverse needs is strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and implementation Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with staff and families Ability to adapt instruction for a range of academic and behavioral requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized education plans for each student Deliver direct instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings Track and report progress regularly, adjusting strategies for student success Foster an engaging, respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages growth and participation Collaborate with intervention specialists, therapists, and support staff as needed Maintain accurate records and contribute to student meetings and reviews You'll be part of an impactful team focused on creating meaningful learning experiences.
