Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-appropriate) Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field; Masters preferred Experience working with students with diverse learning needs (K-12) Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and classroom management skills Ability to adapt instructional strategies for various learning abilities Collaborative spirit and commitment to inclusive education
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and challenges Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate varying learning styles and needs Foster a supportive, engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages positive behavioral and academic outcomes Assess student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines Work closely with families, support staff, and general education teachers to ensure integrated care and communication Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions to advocate for and support student success Remain current on special education best practices and comply with all legal and ethical requirements
