Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Special Education Certification for grades K-6 Previous experience working with elementary-aged students preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction to students on a caseload of 10-12, adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs Create and monitor effective IEPs to ensure student growth and compliance Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to coordinate resources and services Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and district policies Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages learning, independence, and social development Participate in staff meetings, IEP meetings, and ongoing professional development
