9671132-85645 Job Description Take on a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, making a difference in a dynamic learning environment near Amado, AZ. This contract position is designed for dedicated educators who are committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs and fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom community. As part of a collaborative team, you'll lead small group instruction for two daily sessions, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The morning session runs from 7:45-11:00 AM, serving three students, while the afternoon session is from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM with four students. You'll benefit from valuable support provided by two paraprofessionals, and enjoy dedicated planning time each Wednesday. Student enrollment may increase throughout the school year as new evaluations are completed.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain) Experience working with students with a range of disabilities and learning needs Strong ability to adapt instruction and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to create a positive and organized classroom environment
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction tailored to individual student needs in both AM and PM sessions Collaborate with paraprofessionals to provide differentiated support for each child Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal regulations Communicate regularly with families, colleagues, and specialists regarding student progress Participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of inclusion and growth This role is perfect for compassionate educators who thrive in intimate classroom settings and value teamwork.
