Ideal candidates will have:

Valid Special Education Teacher credentials/certification Experience teaching elementary students, preferably in self-contained or behavioral classroom settings Knowledge of strategies for managing challenging behaviors and fostering positive classroom climate Experience developing and implementing IEPs Strong communication and collaboration skills with team members and families Compassionate, patient, and resilient attitude Ability to adapt quickly and creatively to students' evolving needs In this position, you will: Deliver direct instruction tailored to individual learning plans Use evidence-based behavior management techniques Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and administrators Monitor and document student progress and adjust strategies as needed Build trusting relationships with students, encouraging self-regulation and confidence Stay current with best practices in special education This contract role is full-time, providing 37.5 hours of meaningful work each week in a vibrant and supportive educational setting.
