Red Mountain Woodworking is seeking a skilled and experienced AutoCAD Microvellum Drafter to join our team. As an AutoCAD Microvellum Drafter, you will play an integral role in our design and manufacturing process, ensuring accurate and detailed technical drawings to produce custom commercial millwork and cabinetry. You will collaborate closely with our estimator, project manager, manufacturing staff, and field staff to translate architectural drawings into functional, manufacturable plans. Your expertise in AutoCAD and Microvellum will contribute to the successful execution of projects, meeting both functional and aesthetic requirements.Minimum Qualifications:
One year of experience working as an AutoCAD Microvellum drafter. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microvellum software, with a strong understanding of 2D and 3D modeling techniques. Ability to produce accurate technical drawings within specified timelines. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve design-related issues. Strong attention to detail, quality, focus and thorough review of work. Ability to prioritize and balance workload in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and manuals. Microsoft Word/Excel skills. Ability to work with a team or independently, as needed. High school diploma or equivalent. Must have reliable transportation to and from our shop. Must be eligible to work in the U.S.Preferred Qualifications:
Solid knowledge of construction techniques, woodworking principles, and industry standards. Familiarity with architectural plans and AWI guidelines. Casework drafting experience and/or experience working in a wood shop. Familiarity with CNC machining and casework manufacturing processes. Technical certification or Associates Degree in a related field.Responsibilities:
Create detailed cabinet drawings and CNC-ready files. Use AutoCAD and Microvellum software to produce precise 2D and 3D technical drawings. Prepare documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, and details to facilitate the manufacturing process. Review designs for accuracy, functionality, constructability, and material efficiency. Troubleshoot design and production issues and make necessary corrections. Build material lists and cut lists required to produce custom millwork. Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Participate in project and production meetings. Ability to work overtime upon request. Monday - Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm 10 hours per dayBenefits
