Job Description
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification or eligibility in Arizona Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a behavior self-contained or similar setting Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff Familiarity with evidence-based practices and strategies for students with special needsKey Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to K-5 students, focusing on both academic progress and behavioral support within the STARS Program Create a safe, structured classroom environment that encourages social and emotional growth Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor IEP goals and behavior intervention plans Foster cooperative relationships with parents and guardians, maintaining open lines of communication Effectively document and report student progress, participating in all required meetings and professional development opportunitiesBenefits:
