Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher working with high school students in a supportive setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to serve students in grades 9-12 who receive special education services for most of the school day. You'll lead a classroom of 12-25 students, providing direct instruction and fostering both academic and personal growth. Start as soon as possible and continue through the school year, with a full-time, 40-hour week at one high school campus.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification for Arizona (AZ SPED) Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field Experience developing and implementing IEPs for high school students is preferred Strong collaborative skills to partner with general education teachers, service providers, and families Ability to deliver engaging instruction within a special education classroom setting

Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction to students in a supportive, resource-rich environment Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress Work closely with other educators and service professionals to ensure student needs are met Engage with families to foster a team approach in student development Participate in school meetings, panels, and professional growth activities
