Great Hearts Trivium (2001 N. Bullard Avenue, Goodyear, AZ 85395) The Exceptional Student Services (Special Education) Teacher will: Plan and provide specially designed instruction to students receiving special education and related services. Collaborate with related service providers and general education staff in the implementation of accommodations and modifications Draft and maintain IEPs, Prior Written Notices, and potentially evaluation paperwork, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines Plan and facilitate meetings throughout the special education process Communicate and collaborate with parents, staff, and administrative staff regarding student planning and progress. Manage the transition of new enrollees eligible for special education and related services. Candidates must be proficient in the use of technology. Great Hearts teachers must also demonstrate a commitment to and love for the liberal arts.Education/Certification:
Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor's degree Valid Arizona certification in Special Education (mild to moderate, cross-categorical, learning disability, or intern/alternative) A current Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance cardExperience:
1 year of successful teaching experience (preferably in a K-12 school setting) 1 year of successful Special Education teaching experience (preferred) The ideal candidate has previous experience in Special Education.
