Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or related field Recent experience teaching in a special education classroom setting Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Strong interpersonal and communication skills to partner with families and multidisciplinary teams Adaptability and creativity in modifying curriculum and classroom strategies Familiarity with instructional technology and assistive devices is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual learning needs Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to promote inclusion Conduct assessments to track student progress and maintain appropriate documentation Engage and communicate with parents/guardians to discuss student development and strategies for success Participate in meetings, professional development, and trainings as required Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all students
