Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a real difference in students' lives as a Special Education Teacher in a rewarding, full-time contract role close to Mesa, AZ. Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Special Education Teaching certification (state-issued) Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Experience with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and colleagues Positive attitude, flexibility, and creative problem-solving abilities Familiarity with evidence-based instructional practices and learning accommodations

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored instruction to students with varying disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff to create a cohesive learning environment Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and modify strategies as needed Maintain organized IEP documentation and participate in meetings with families and multidisciplinary teams Foster a safe, inclusive classroom culture that encourages self-advocacy and growth Implement classroom management strategies to support diverse needs
