A rewarding contract opportunity awaits working with middle school students in a resource math setting. You will support and inspire a diverse group of learners in grades 6-8, impacting as many as 32 students on your caseload. With the school day running Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, youll have the structure you need to maintain a great work-life balance while making a difference every day.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-specific or eligible for reciprocity) Previous experience teaching middle school students preferred, especially grades 6-8 Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Solid understanding of resource math curriculum and best practices for differentiated instruction Proficient in collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff Compassionate, patient, and skilled at building rapport with students of diverse backgrounds and needs Excellent organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of 32 students, delivering targeted instruction in resource math Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet each students unique learning goals Track and document student progress, updating goals as necessary Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and families to foster student success Create a positive and supportive classroom environment focused on both academic and social-emotional growth This assignment is an opportunity to help students thrive in a supportive and dynamic school environment.
