Qualifications and Experience:
Valid certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain) At least one year of classroom or resource teaching experience, preferably at the high school level In-depth knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches to meet individualized student goals Organizational skills for tracking student data, reporting progress, and complying with all legal requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver differentiated instruction and interventions to high school students with varying abilities and disabilities Develop, revise, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families Build positive, supportive relationships with students to encourage participation and achievement Work closely with general education teachers to support classroom modifications and accommodations Maintain effective communication with families and team members regarding student progress and needs Document and report student progress, and contribute to IEP meetings and annual reviews Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere This contract opportunity offers the ability to make a real impact while working alongside passionate educators.
