Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity working in a SPICE I Classroom within a Junior High setting, supporting a small caseload of students. This contract position offers steady, full-time hours and the chance to see real progress under your care. As a Special Education Teacher in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized instruction to a group of nine students. You'll collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Active Arizona teaching license Current IVP fingerprint clearance card Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher, ideally with junior high-aged students Solid knowledge of special education policies, IEP development, and classroom management Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs Adapt lessons and instructional strategies to ensure all students have access to the curriculum Manage a structured classroom environment to support positive behaviors and engagement Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to coordinate services and track student progress Maintain detailed records and participate in IEP meetings Foster a supportive learning environment that celebrates each student's strengths This position begins as soon as possible and extends through May 28, 2027, providing you ample opportunity to make a long-lasting impact.
