In this role, you will provide specialized academic and behavioral support to students with disabilities in a K-2 Special Teaching Classroom. Your work will directly impact students and their families by helping create a supportive and effective learning environment that promotes student growth and success. Responsibilities Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs and IEP goals Implement accommodations and modifications to support student learning Develop, manage, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and service records Support students with behavioral, social, and academic needs in the classroom setting Collaborate with families, school staff, and related service providers Participate in IEP meetings, case management, and multidisciplinary team collaboration Ensure compliance with special education regulations and district guidelines Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Credential (or eligibility) Minimum one (1) year of experience Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably grades K-2 Knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and classroom accommodations Familiarity with SEIS or similar documentation systems preferred Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Important Expectations The district is seeking a candidate who is: Fully committed during scheduled working hours Reliable, professional, and punctual Accurate with documentation and service tracking Able to manage classroom responsibilities effectively and efficiently Supportive, collaborative, and student-focused Compensation & Benefits $29.00 - $54.00 per hour (based on experience and location) + Sign-on Bonus Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, and vision) Ongoing clinical and professional support.
