Qualifications & Experience:

Certified in Special Education (state requirements must be met) Previous experience in an elementary school environment preferred Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction Strong collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, families, and support staff Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality instruction to elementary-aged students identified for special education Manage a caseload of around 25 students, designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to support diverse learners, adapting curriculum as needed Provide instructional support either as a Resource Teacher or in a Self-Contained classroom, depending on assignment Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions to meet student needs Work collaboratively with school staff and families to ensure comprehensive support for students Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all learners This role is ideal for educators who thrive on supporting student growth and collaborating in a dynamic school environment.
