Located near Anaheim, CA, this contract opportunity offers educators the chance to work with a young learner who communicates verbally and benefits from individualized behavioral support throughout the school day. Your natural ability to foster positive, safe, and engaging classroom environments will be invaluable. You will guide and encourage a student navigating target behaviors such as elopement and physical aggression, playing a vital part in their growth and integration with both peers and staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid teaching certification in General Education or eligibility to teach at the Pre-K level Proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred to support the bilingual setting Experience managing challenging behaviors in early learners, particularly elopement and aggression Previous work within school or classroom environments Strong communication, patience, and adaptability Ability to work independently and collaboratively with school teams
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized behavioral and academic support to a Pre-K student throughout the entire school day (8:00am - 12:30pm) Adapt strategies to create a positive and structured classroom experience Foster a safe setting where the student can thrive academically and socially Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families as needs evolve Transition the student safely from arrival (potentially prior to the bell) into classroom routines This position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the life of a young learner while gaining experience in bilingual and special education settings.
