A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. As a Program Instructor, you'll help program participants build independence, develop life and work skills, strengthen relationships, and achieve goals identified in their Person-Centered Plans. You'll create a safe, supportive environment where participants can discover their strengths, practice self-advocacy, and actively participate in their communities. This is a full-time position, Monday- Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
