9651899-93010 Job Description Take on a meaningful, full-time position providing support to students as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist and Braillist. Qualifications & Experience:

Demonstrated training or experience working as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist and/or Braillist. Comfortable developing and adapting instructional materials, including creating or transcribing Braille resources. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and an understanding of accessibility technology. Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, and families. Ability to implement IEP goals and work closely with multidisciplinary teams. Reliable, patient, and compassionate when supporting diverse learners.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct support and instruction to students who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or visually impaired. Transcribe classroom materials into Braille or provide alternative formats as necessary. Collaborate with teachers and staff to adapt lesson content for accessibility. Support students with the use of assistive technologies and help facilitate inclusion in the classroom environment. Monitor progress, report on student development, and assist with IEP documentation as needed.
