Special Needs Caregiver / Respite Provider Family Hire - 4.0 Carson, CA Job Details Part-time $25.16 - $30.30 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Paid orientation Flexible schedule Qualifications Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders Developmental disability care assistance Performing background checks Working with adult populations Working with children with disabilities Full Job Description We are seeking two mature, dependable, and experienced Special Needs Caregivers/Respite Providers to provide consistent, long-term support for our family. Ideal candidates will have previous experience supporting children or young adults with autism, developmental disabilities, or other special needs . This position requires someone who understands the importance of routine, patience, safety, consistency, and dependable attendance.
Schedule Hours will primarily include:
After-school/evening hours Weekends In-home respite care Occasional additional hours as needed Specific schedules will be discussed during the interview process.
Qualifications Candidates should:
Have previous special-needs caregiving experience Be mature, responsible, patient, and professional Be consistently punctual and dependable Communicate effectively with parents/family Be comfortable following established routines and care instructions Have consistent availability for their agreed-upon schedule Be interested in a stable, long-term caregiving position Reliability is essential. Because consistency and routine are important to our children, frequent last-minute cancellations, lateness, or inconsistent availability will not work for this position.
Hiring Requirements Final candidates must:
Attend one in-person interview Attend one in-person orientation before beginning work Provide professional/caregiving references Successfully complete all background checks, clearances, and onboarding requirements required by our caregiving agencies Compensation $25-30 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
