9681746-95307 Job Description Seeking a dedicated educator with a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs to step into a full-time, onsite Special Education teaching position. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing specialized academic and functional instruction to students in need of significant support. The focus is on delivering ESN (Education Specialist Instruction) services in a collaborative, inclusive setting. Current need begins ASAP, with potential to extend or transition as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid California credential in ESN Education Specialist Instruction (R3EN or Mod/Severe) Proven background working with students in special education, particularly those with significant needs Experience developing and implementing IEPs tailored to individual student goals Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional materials to suit a wide range of disabilities, including autism, intellectual disability, multiple disabilities, OHI, orthopedic impairment, emotional disturbance, traumatic brain injury, and deafblindness Strong skills in collaborating with families, related service providers, and general education staff Capacity to support students with medical, behavioral, sensory, and communication challenges
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction, adapting academic and daily living activities to meet student needs Monitor progress and document achievement of IEP goals Modify and implement curriculum materials to fit each learners abilities Offer academic, communication, behavioral, and functional skills support Teach adaptive and daily living skills essential for student independence Engage in ongoing collaboration with parents, teachers, aides, therapists, nurses, and administrators Maintain comprehensive records and participate in meetings as required This opportunity is ideal for a committed special educator ready to provide consistent, high-quality support in a collaborative school environment.
