Key Qualifications:
Must hold a valid California teaching credential with a Visual Impairments (VI) endorsement Previous experience providing instruction and support to visually impaired students in school settings Proficient in IEP development and implementation Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and families Strong organizational skills to manage itinerant schedules and diverse caseloads Excellent communication and advocacy skills
What You'll Do:
Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans for students with visual impairments Adapt curriculum materials and assessments for accessibility Provide direct instruction in Braille, orientation and mobility, and compensatory skills Conduct functional vision assessments and provide recommendations Consult with educational teams and participate in IEP meetings Advocate for student needs and ensure equitable access to learning environments Maintain documentation of progress and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams This role is onsite only, working 35 hours per week from October 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027.
