9681603-92407 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students in a vibrant learning environment near San Bernardino. This contract position is designed for a Special Education Teacher skilled in working with students with moderate to severe behavioral needs. Youll provide invaluable guidance to a class of 17 third to fifth graders, fostering their social, emotional, and academic growth. Hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:45 PM, including a 30-minute lunch. Youll play a key role in creating a supportive and structured classroom atmosphere, helping students develop essential skills for lifelong learning. This is an extended substitute assignment beginning as soon as possible and continuing through December, with the potential for extension. What makes you an ideal fit: Valid Special Education teaching credential Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially grades 3-5 Demonstrated skills addressing behavioral challenges and supporting students with moderate to severe needs Ability to use evidence-based interventions and create individualized education plans Patient, empathetic, and collaborative approach with students, staff, and families Strong communication and classroom management abilities What youll be responsible for: Delivering differentiated instruction aligned with IEP goals Managing a classroom with diverse learning and behavioral needs Implementing positive behavioral supports and data-driven interventions Collaborating with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other educational staff Engaging families and guardians in their childrens progress Maintaining accurate records and progress notes Compensation for this role starts at $38 per hour, with increases based on experience.
