Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) or eligibility to obtain one Demonstrated experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, ideally across K-12 grade levels Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting instruction to meet each students unique needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, families, and administrators Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support to students in the DHH program, tailoring lessons and accommodations to individual learning goals Develop and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and participate in IEP meetings Support and collaborate with general education teachers to foster inclusive learning environments Promote deaf culture awareness and effective communication strategies throughout the school community Engage with families, ensuring open lines of communication and support
