Job Description

Bring your expertise in Assistive Technology and special education to an impactful contract position in a vibrant California setting. This full-time, onsite opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with staff across multiple educational sites, making a real difference for students with diverse learning needs. As an Assistive Technology Specialist, your knowledge will be essential in both direct service and by providing support to special education staff. You'll guide the effective implementation of assistive devices, ensuring that educators are confident and students have every opportunity to succeed. Qualifications and Requirements:
Current California Assistive Technology Specialist license (required) Background in special education and demonstrated proficiency in assistive technology Experience training and supporting staff with the use of AT devices Comfort working onsite with diverse caseloads across multiple locations Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to students and educators regarding assistive technology Assess learner needs and recommend appropriate AT devices and solutions Conduct staff training sessions on the effective use and integration of AT tools Collaborate with special education teachers and other professionals to ensure smooth transitions and compliance with IEP goals Document, monitor, and follow up on student progress with technology solutions In addition to a rewarding, fast-paced professional environment, youll enjoy competitive weekly compensation, health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan to support your future goals.
