Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Current, valid Special Education teaching credential (mild to moderate specialization preferred) Experience working with students identified as SPED in K-12 settings Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Excellent communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff Ability to differentiate instruction and employ various behavioral management techniques Flexibility and positive attitude when addressing student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction and support in both small group and individual settings for students with mild to moderate disabilities Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams Monitor student progress and modify instructional strategies based on assessment data Foster an inclusive classroom climate to support student confidence, independence, and participation Communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding student goals, progress, and accommodations Adhere to all state and federal guidelines pertaining to special education This contract position offers the chance to work collaboratively with dedicated education professionals who value inclusivity and student-centered approaches.
