Self-Contained Special Education Classroom Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated SDC Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting. The teacher will develop and implement individualized instruction based on students' IEPs and work closely with families, school staff, and related service providers.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement instruction aligned with students' IEP goals. Provide individualized and small-group academic instruction. Manage a self-contained special education classroom and maintain a positive, structured learning environment. Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals. Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and related service providers. Participate in IEP meetings and assist with developing appropriate goals and services. Use accommodations, modifications, and specialized instructional strategies as needed. Support students' behavioral, social-emotional, communication, and functional needs. Maintain accurate student records and required documentation. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress.

Qualifications:

Valid California Special Education teaching credential appropriate for the assignment. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Experience working with students with disabilities preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families.

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday-Friday Students:

Students receiving special education services in an SDC/self-contained setting.

From $90,000.00 per year
