Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a passionate Special Education Teacher to make a real difference in students' lives in the San Lorenzo area. This full-time, contract position supports a 1x RSP caseload, starting as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the school year (EOSY). Key Qualifications:
Active California Education Specialist Credential (required) Prior experience working in Resource Specialist Programs (RSP) or similar special education settings Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and compliance Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Dedication to individualized instruction and inclusive education practices
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and needs Deliver resource support services and specialized instruction within a collaborative school environment Monitor student progress, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in IEP meetings Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate where all students can thrive Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure adaptations and accommodations are effectively implemented As part of this role, you'll benefit from highly competitive compensation, with pay ranging from $45 to $55 per hour, paid weekly.
