DESCRIPTION

The Children's Ministry Teacher will join our team of teachers to serve as a Christian role model to preschool and school-age children, teaching, nurturing and guiding them in their spiritual development as individuals and as part of a Christian community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilizing gospel-centered curriculum, prepare weekly Sunday School lessons and activities (training will be provided)
• In an engaging and interactive manner, promote the overall spiritual growth and development of the children, teaching and grounding them in God's word
• Help provide a safe and welcoming environment for all children and their families
• Provide support for special events

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to clearly communicate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and demonstrate this relationship through how they live
• Must embrace and model the mission, vision and core values of Spectrum Church Irvine
• Self-motivated and driven, with a passion, creativity, and energy for children
• Strong teaching abilities
• Flexible, reliable, and able to serve well as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal skills to work well with parents, volunteers, and church staff

Education:

College degree or current college student in a related field preferred

• Experience working in children's ministry or with children in general

COMPENSATION

Non-exempt, 3-4 hours/week, $23.00/hour
