9680368-90805 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students growth as an Inclusion Specialist in a dynamic school environment near Long Beach, CA. This unique itinerant position spans approximately 30 hours per week, offering the chance to positively impact both elementary and high school students through individualized attention and curriculum modification.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support for students in grades K-10, including two students at a downtown K-8 setting and four students across high school and elementary levels. Adapt and modify curriculum to meet individual education plan (IEP) requirements and facilitate student success in inclusive classroom settings. Deliver 1:1 support for students who require extra assistance to achieve their learning goals. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure seamless implementation of accommodations and modifications. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed. Travel between assigned schools as needed for student support and collaboration.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification. Experience working with diverse student populations in elementary and/or high school settings. Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and curriculum adaptation for special education. Outstanding interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
