This contract opportunity offers full-time hours (37.5 per week, Monday through Friday) working closely with students at Virginia School. Your essential support will help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting teachers by assisting with classroom activities and individualized instruction Providing direct assistance to students with Level 3 Autism, including those with very intensive needs Implementing individualized education plans and behavior intervention strategies Promoting inclusion in classroom and school activities Assisting with personal care tasks and ensuring a safe, structured environment Collaborating with teachers, specialists, and families to foster consistent support Documenting progress and daily activities as required Preferred qualifications: Experience working as a paraprofessional or in special education settings Background supporting students with significant behavioral, academic, or functional needs Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder, with particular comfort working with high-needs (Level 3) cases Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and patient in challenging classrooms Understanding of non-verbal communication, sensory sensitivities, or behavioral interventions High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in special education is a plus Commitment to reliability, teamwork, and positive student outcomes If you thrive in a hands-on, dynamic education setting and want to play a vital role in students daily successes, this opportunity is an excellent fit.
