Key Qualifications:

Prior experience as a Paraprofessional in educational settings, preferably supporting students with autism or special needs Comfortable and experienced with very intense caseloads and behavioral challenges Patience, adaptability, and a strong commitment to fostering student growth Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude Background check and relevant certifications as required by the state

Responsibilities:

Provide direct one-on-one and small group support to students with Level 3 Autism, ensuring their safety, comfort, and engagement Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) under the direction of special education teachers and clinicians Support students with daily routines, academic tasks, behavioral strategies, and social skills development Employ techniques and accommodations tailored to meet each student's needs Monitor progress, document behavioral observations, and communicate effectively with the educational team Maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment
