Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education professional working with K-1st grade students in a supportive and well-resourced environment. This contract opportunity is based near Napa, CA and runs through June 4, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours each week. You'll be guiding a group of primarily moderate-needs students in a dedicated SDC classroom, supported by two skilled paraprofessionals. Your expertise will shape young learners' educational journeys, focusing on individualized instruction, classroom management, and collaboration with staff and families. Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Active California mild/moderate credential required (please include a screenshot of your CTC in your application) Experience teaching in Special Day Classrooms or with K-1st grade populations is preferred Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Compassion, patience, and dedication to student growth and achievement
Role Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with the educational team Provide direct instruction to students with a range of learning needs Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom that encourages student participation and engagement Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to support each student's academic and behavioral goals Track and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed In this role, you'll enjoy competitive hourly pay between $45-55 along with weekly paychecks.
